Welcome to Year 2
The children in Year 2 have worked hard all Autumn term. Thank-you to all parents for your support with reading at home. Homework will begin again in January. Information concerning Year 2 routines is included below, but feel free to come and ask about anything you are unsure of.
Year 2 routines
Reading books are checked and swapped on Mondays and Thursdays. Please ensure a message is in the reading record for these days so that your children can put their stamp on the chart to reward reading at home.
P.E. is on a Tuesday and Thursday. Please check that your children have full kit in school, including pumps.
Homework will be sent out on Friday and will be tested on the following Thursday. Please send the orange book back in by Thursday so that it can be marked.
We have all enjoyed a fantastic week with lots of sporting activities and wonderful weather.
British values week
Can you recognise what Year 2 created with bread and jam?
They created it after looking at the British artist Nathan Wyburn's work.
We especially enjoyed eating it.
Year 2 had a lovely afternoon at Ashton Park. The weather was great and we started our work on evaluating features of our locality.
All the children in KS1 put on an amazing performance. Look out for the photographs in the local newspaper!
Year 2 enjoyed their Christmas party after working hard all term.
Year 2 worked hard to design and make moving vehicles for their toys. Then they enjoyed playing with them in the hall.
Well done Year 2. It was a fantastic assembly.
Look at our amazing hats.
