Welcome to all children and parents in Y3.
For your information, reading books will be checked on Mondays, PE is on Wednesday and Thursday and spellings and/or times tables will be given once a week (Friday) and tested the week after. Thank you.
Children worked outside in the sunshine to investigate capacity. They investigated more or less than 1 litre and how much liquid a container would hold. Everyone had a great time and learned lots too!

This week in year 3 we have been working very hard. In maths we have been developing our understanding of 2D and 3D shapes and also right angles. The children really enjoyed creating 'angle eaters' to find right angles in shapes and around the classroom. In our topic work we have been creating information texts all about volcanoes and how fossils are created.
The week beginning Monday 8th September we will be learning how to write 2A sentences, this will help us to improve our writing. An example of this sentence type is 'The ugly, wicked witch stirred the green, sticky potion. Have a go at writing these sentence types at home.
