Hello and welcome to Year 4’s class page! smiley

Weekly routines

  • Reading record books are checked every Monday, we will count up the number of times you have read each week and award your child with the relevant number of gold coins for our class treasure chest.  The more your child reads, the more pieces of gold they will earn (3 times a week earns 1 piece of gold.  6 times a week earns two pieces of gold. But if your child reads once a day for the entire week (so 7 times) they will earn 5 pieces of gold!)  Let’s go for gold!!
  • Although books are checked on a Monday, children are able to change their reading book once they have finished at any point during the week.

  • This term Year 4 are swimming.  We go swimming every Tuesday afternoon so it is vital that your child has their swimming kit in school.
  • Year 4’s second P.E./games lesson will be on a Wednesday afternoon each week so please ensure that your child has their full kit in school.

  • Spelling and times table homework will be given on a Friday and tested the following Friday.  It is vital that your child spends a little time each night to learn these.

  • Tuck money is to be brought to class on Fridays or Mondays and handed to Mrs Mc Clements who will collect this in.

Water bottles

  • Children are able to bring bottles of still water to drink throughout the day; it would be greatly appreciated if these could be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Thank you for your continued support! smiley
