Have you ever wanted to swim through a lake of vanilla and choc-chip ice cream? Do you dream of dipping your toes into an ocean of lemonade whilst reading a book peacefully beneath a pasta palm trees as a milk chocolate train whizzes past? Well... now you've got the chance! Our Year 6 children are embarking on a wonderful adventure where they will be designing a persuasive leaflet that will grab your curiosity and (fingers crossed) persuade you to visit their delicious worlds. However, I must warn you of the colossal calorie count hidden within a mountain of Swiss cheese (yes - I did say a mountain), not to mention the temptation of the Candy Land which is nestled into pages 13 and 14 of Carl Warner's brilliant book - A WORLD OF FOOD. Finally, consider yourselves warned about the marshmallow clouds and the lollipop trees - your mouth WILL water!)

Y6 - Making the World Better Place - Our class assembly focused on the things that we can do to make the world a better place to live in. The children embraced the whole idea and produced a fantastic assembly for both Key Stages. They also sang two very heart-warming songs: Michael Jackson's 'Heal The World' and Bruno Mars' 'Count On Me'. Well done, Year 6 - YOU WERE BRILLIANT!
Pre-Topic understanding VS an updated understanding of the human eye - this allows us to see the child's learning journey, showing exactly what they knew at the start of the topic and (hopefully) revealing how they've developed their understanding by the end.
Could you label it? Give it a go!
We've got our EYES on you!! Y6 - LIGHT - Today we looked at the components of the human eye and how they help us to process light and information in order to see - pretty cool, huh?
Diagram of the eye. How many could you label?
Is this diagram correct? Can explain the error?
How about this one? Can you spot the error?
