Year 4 Class Blog

Date: 18th Sep 2020 @ 7:02am

Week beginning 14th September, 2020.

In English, we've looked at creating compound and complex sentences - we're going to be using these in a first-person letter next week.

In Maths, we began some problem solving activities that included Roman Numerals (addition and subtraction)

In Science, we began looking at the teeth. We labelled them and discussed their features, before analysing a cross-section of a human tooth, which we discussed, labelled and explained.

A huge congratulations goes to Lilly-Mai Redmond for being this week's Superstar; she has shown a growing undrstanding of Romans Numerals and - after working with Mrs Pritchard, yesterday - she came back full of confidence and with a huge smile on her face, which is what I want to see from my learners.

Henry and Gabrielle are this week's Christian Value winners for 'Service' - they have both shown a great willingness to get stuck into their challenges since we returned from the summer holidays, and I dont think there's been a moment where these two haven't been ready to learn - a flying start to Year 4, you two - well done!

I'll give another special mention this week to each and every child in our class for the way that they all behaved on our first trip to the swimming baths - they represented our school perfectly and they all worked very hard in the pool - keep it up, guys!
