Our first week in Year 3

What a fantastic first week in Year 3! The children have blown me away with their fantastic behaviour, work ethic and kindness to each other. We have really enjoyed our lessons together, especially our practical maths on place value and starting to count in 50s and 100s, this is something you can practise at home with your child. Reading books have now gone out and should be brought into school every day, so the children can participate in quiet reading in class also.

Our Science topic this half term is Light. We have had fun looking around school for different light sources and talking about why we need light. Maybe you could look for different light sources at home? Don't forget the knowledge organiser, the children get lots of dojos for remembering facts from this at home.

Finally, look out for our Class Superstar and Christian Value winners appearing on here later and I will send emails out tonight for any child who has made it onto the 'beehive' this week, for excellent attitude and behaviour.
